Project Work Packages
Inclusive REskilling and upSkilling Toward competitive Agrifood and veterinary sectoR: European agenda StraTegy
WP1 - Project Management
WP1 is dealing with the methodology adopted to achieve a smooth implementation and allow partners to reach the expected objectives.
The consortium is represented by a Steering Committee. The Steering Committee and High Steering Committee meet on a regular basis to monitor the progress of the project.
Specific management tools have been created and are available on the intranet of the project website to facilitate the monitoring of tasks conduction and the sharing of information and documents.
Communication flow are defined and monitored through this WP, and daily management is performed by UNITO project management team.
WP2 - Fast track to curricula and training programme
The objective of the WP was to quickly cover the urgent skill needs at EU level and carry out in the first year of the project the initial pilots to have feedback with the training needs both from the workforce and business perspective, keeping in mind the Green Deal, the Farm to Fork, the new CAP EU initiatives and actions to address the COVID-19 crisis.
Since the I-RESTART aim is to provide inclusive and innovative training, the pilots were led by VET providers and stakeholder associations in ‘AgriFood Industry Open Days’ at the food processors/farm level to allow massive dissemination event.
WP3 - Skills needs identification
This WP objective is to draw an overall view of the sector, of its future needs and to identify the current and future skills gaps and training needs through surveys and focus groups involving relevant stakeholders.
The consortium also identified good practices, valuable experiences, existing studies, partnerships and policies.
The list of skills evaluated in the WP2 have also been considered in this WP and the focus as been on complementary topics vs. the FIELDS project, trying to provide innovative skills for I-RESTART that could be further exploited in the Pact for Skills.
The interested sectors are the following: Food industry and processing, Animal production, Digital technologies for food industry, e-commerce, export, online marketing, logistics, Veterinary activities, Advanced Entrepreneurial skills.
WP4 - Training design and development
I-RESTART will tailor its training methodology to specific target groups by analyzing the best pedagogical approaches and creating curricula for various occupational profiles at EQF levels 4, 5, and 6.
Ten prioritized profiles will be chosen, resulting in about 1,040 hours of training material across subjects like food industry, animal production, digital technologies, and more.
The training content will be flexible, allowing for full courses or individual modules, and will be delivered through new material or existing resources.
A trainer module will be developed, and a work-based scheme will be linked with EU tools to support student mobility.
WP5 - Training programme delivery and curricula implementation
This Work Package focuses on implementing the training content from WP4 through pilot programs for trainers and trainees, using a platform to showcase all project outputs for EU-wide adoption, particularly within the Pact for Skills.
The training will emphasize inclusion and engagement, using micro-credentials and work-based learning with mentor support.
A pilot phase will test the training modules across different scales and target groups, allowing for feedback to refine the approach.
Sixteen trainers will train 120 learners, with 40 of those participating in an extended work-based learning period with 32 mentors.
WP6 - Long term action plan
The project aims to ensure the long-term adoption and implementation of its skill strategy, curricula, and training.
To achieve this, the consortium will study local regulatory frameworks and monitor funding opportunities for sustainability.
A governance body will be established to maintain the availability of outputs.
The project will seek engagement through partners’ networks and secure a Memorandum of Understanding with 80 partners to form an Alliance for resource sharing.
The project will also contribute training content to the Pact for Skills, aligning with its objectives and supporting its ongoing development in the Agrifood sector.
WP7 - Strategic approach development
After identifying needs, trends, and best practices, the consortium will standardize skill needs into prioritized micro-credentials to create 10 occupational profiles (EQF 4, 5, and 6) in areas like food industry, animal production, and digital technologies.
To support upskilling and reskilling in the agrifood and veterinary sectors, a general EU skill strategy and implementation roadmap will be developed for pilot countries.
This strategy will then be refined to fit local contexts for quicker implementation.
WP8 - Quality management
This Work Package focuses on developing a micro-credentials certification scheme and ensuring the quality of all project outputs, including skill profiles, curricula, training materials, and strategies.
Partners from the Pact for Skills will be involved. A risk assessment and management plan will be established, along with standards for deliverables and reports.
ECVET accreditation will be pursued to gain European recognition, and local workshops with national authorities will support micro-credentials.
The High Steering Committee will also serve as a Quality Committee, with external experts providing yearly feedback on project strategies and content.
WP9 - Dissemination and communication
The success of the project requires its dissemination toward European stakeholders who might be interested in implementing the strategy and/or imitating the training program.
This dissemination is necessary to make sure that the skills gap will be addressed to the largest extent. Thanks to this Work Package, the I-RESTART project provides a clear plan for the dissemination of results and includes activities, tools, and channels to ensure that the program will be spread effectively to the stakeholders.
This Work Package deals with the creation of a dedicated website, the creation of a Dissemination Plan and the organisation of dissemination and communication campaigns, that span also to the collaboration with other project and initiatives
